The MegaFlora Tree ® is ideally suited for cellulosic biofuel and bioenergy production, based on high biomass yield per acre, re-growth without replanting, and ability to grow on marginal soil. It is also ideal for reforestation of deforested third world rainforests and plantations with high-quality, fast-growing, income-generating biomass or lumber.

Emerald Energy has developed relationships with several developers of cellulosic biofuel projects who are in desperate need of an economical feedstock. The model of a dedicated plantation and integrated biofuel production has been met with very high enthusiasm, and negotiations for plantation establishment are moving forward on multiple projects.

Land for the plantations and biofuel facilities is readily available. There are over 1 million acres of marginal soil in California alone. The plantations will remediate this marginal soil while providing a sustainable bioenergy feedstock solution.
